2017-2018 Annual Newsletter:

Greetings Greenville Citadel Alumni – First I’d like to thank our past President Mike Wells for doing a fantastic job this past year. Our club is in the running for a 2017 Gold Star Club, and in my opinion we should be club of the year. Thank you Mike for your superb leadership.

As your new club President I hope to build on Mike’s success. I am a 2015 graduate from Sierra Company, and yes, Sierra does exist and it is a real company! I graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and work with Alliance Consulting Engineers here in Greenville dealing with industrial and commercial development. I have some big shoes to fill and a lot of members to meet, so please do not hesitate to call on me at any time.

For a while now, the Club’s spring golf tournament has been our big fundraising event for the year. However, last year we introduced with great success our fall event – the Sporting Clay Tournament at Clinton House Plantation. We plan to host this event every year on the Friday before either the Furman or Wofford football game (which rotate home & away each year). This year the tournament will be on Friday, November 10th, before the Furman game. We hope to see you all there.

We also have a new website (, Facebook Page (, and are revamping our email update system! We encourage everyone on social media to like/follow for news, updates and some Citadel humor. You can also renew your membership, pay your dues online, and sign up for our email updates via the new website. Yes, we have joined the 21st century!

Speaking of membership dues, the 2017-2018 annual dues will be $50 and include some new Citadel swag and special benefits. Members will now receive discounts at the golf & sporting clays tournament, free entry to our larger events (i.e. the knob send-off, president/commandant visits, etc.), member name tags and some other promotional items with our new Greater Greenville Citadel Club logo – not to mention supporting our Club scholarship fund. It is a good deal, and yes, membership has its privileges!

We also have some great speakers on tap for this year. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Augusta Grill unless otherwise stated. Reach out to a classmate and join us for a cold beverage while we listen to some great speakers, network and catch up on old times. It is going to be an even bigger year for the Greater Greenville Citadel Club!

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Daniel McCullough
